Wotton-under-Edge HC’s Boys under 16s, who won the National Indoor Super 6s competition in January, have a chance to double up as they secured a berth at the National Finals last Sunday in Pool 4 of England Hockey’s Tier 1 ‘Supra League’.

A 3-1 win away to Beeston in February, was followed by defeat at home to Cambridge City HC but a win over Solihull based Old Silhillians HC on Sunday (together with Cambridge defeating Beeston) was enough to take them into the last 8 under 16s teams in the Country.
They will now compete with 7 other teams (2 x Pools of 4) bidding to claim the title of National Champions over the weekend of 13/14 April at Nottingham Hockey Centre.

The finalists include some of the big names of English Hockey, so its great for our club to be competing against such high stature teams; an amazing achievement in itself for Wotton under Edge!
