While the West Hockey League took a half term break; it was still a busy week for a junior international representatives from the Men’s 1st XI.
Scott Patterson has been getting some miles under his belt in recent weeks training with his Scotland Aspiring Boys (u18s) teammates ahead of some important games in the Spring, with the aim being to make the squad for the European u18 Championships in the Summer.
Isaac Edwards played in a series of 3 games for England u16 Boys vs Ireland u16s at Lilleshall, with England winning 2 of the matches. Isaac played a key role in securing the win in one of the games when finely balanced at 1-1; a great aerial trap and assist to set up the winning goal.
Meanwhile, away from our full international representatives, Charlie Emms made his debut for the England Colleges’ Men’s team as they met up for a training camp and series of matches in Lincoln (Lincoln University, Lindum HC & Combines Armed Forces XI) More games to follow including matches v Wales u18 Boys in May
